Final pieces coming together
Obviously the "late Feb" release didn't happen. Everything is pretty much ready except for some final sound-booth recordings, which will hopefully take place very soon, and the finishing touches on the editing process. ¶ 9:10 PM 0 comments

Music agreements
Some musicians/composers have agreed to let me use their music free of charge in the DDV short film, which is very kind of them and also fantastic for the movie! I'll announce those people soon on the Cast & Crew page, and they'll also get the necessary thanks & credit that they are due in the movie credits.
Post-production is still steaming along. The compositing shots are almost finished, which is the bulk of the work. That leaves a few special effects, a bit more 3D animation, the final editing, and sound/music scoring to do.

Editing is proceeding nicely. Some early post-production frames are available to view on the Download page.
For those who are interested, the post-production software being used is listed below. The first three cost a little bit of money but the last two are open source.

- Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 - video editor. It's a cut-down (and cheaper!) version of Premiere Pro, though with most of the features still available.
- Chromanator 1.0 - compositing, green/blue-screening and 2D animation.
- AlamDV 2 - digital special effects.
- Blender 2.36 - an open source 3D modelling & animation package.
- Audacity 1.2.3 - an open source sound/audio editor and mixer.

Post-Production Begins
All principal filming was completed on Saturday. Now the big task of post-production gets underway, including editing, 3D animation, special effects, sound mastering and music scoring.
